Sausage Party goes the Pixar route and questions, “What if our food had feelings?” The answer? It doesn’t go well for the food but makes an insanely entertaining film.

The food at Shopwell’s longs to be bought and taken to the “Great Beyond.” Frank (Seth Rogen) and Brenda (Kristen Wiig) are excited to finally unite, but Honey Mustard (Danny McBride) is returned and warns of the horrors that await them.

It’s crude with tons of profanity and sex jokes but packaged to look like any other animated kid comedy. You might be shocked, but you’ll be laughing the entire time.

The voice cast is top notch with some of the best names in comedy. Wiig and Rogen are fantastic as the leads, but Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz and Salma Hayek all get moments to shine.

Final say: Surprisingly deep. ★★★★☆
