A sequel to the 2000 hit action film, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle is just as fun and iconic as the first one that the lack of a sensible plot doesn’t matter.
After a high-profile government officer (Robert Patrick) is kidnapped, Natalie (Cameron Diaz), Dylan (Drew Barrymore) and Alex (Lucy Liu) need to locate his missing ring and its pair. When put together, the rings contain a list of people in the Witness Protection Program that mafia families are targeting.
Like the first, it can be argued that the main trio are put in stereotypical situations, but again it’s always to undermine the men around them.
A stacked cast plus tons of cameos create a fantastically acted film, especially with Bernie Mac taking over Bosley and meshing with the cast better than Bill Murray.
Final say: Full speed ahead. ★★★★★
