Right off the bat, you can tell that the couple in Made for Each Other are not made for each other in the slightest. The ensuing drama in their lives makes for a wild movie – and not a great one.

John (James Stewart) and Jane (Carole Lombard) get married after only knowing each other for a day. Their marriage quickly declines as Jane doesn’t get along with her mother-in-law Harriet (Lucile Watson) and John doesn’t receive his work promotion.

There’s chemistry between Stewart and Lombard, but not good chemistry. Their characters are frequently disagreeing, and you’ll feel like you’re watching a trainwreck.

When the drama heightens, their baby almost dies out of nowhere and the only medicine is states away, which causes a plane crash during delivery. It’s all too much for the story.

Final say: Don’t waste your time. ★☆☆☆☆
