With incredible talent from the drag queens involved, Huluween Dragstravaganza has the potential to be a fantastic special if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s a glorified ad for Hulu.

While getting ready for a show, Ginger Minj and Monét X Change’s haunted television transports them into the “Land of Huluween.”

The special features fantastic musical numbers including “The Big Opening” featuring the entire cast. Drag Race legends Jujubee, Mo Heart and Manila Luzon put out a solid Halloween banger with “The Next American Slasher” and Jackie Beat and Lady Bunny poke fun at their ages with “Who’s Your Mummy?”

If it wasn’t for the musical numbers, this show would be a drag – and not in a good way. The writing is terrible and is full of promotional material rather than actual entertainment.

Final say: These queens deserve better. ★★☆☆☆
