Returning to complete the trilogy, Zombies 3 may be as corny as ever and feature some of the same issues seen in the first two films, but it still contains a lot of heart.

Zed (Milo Manheim) is hoping to be the first zombie recruited to Mountain College where Addison (Meg Donnelly) has already been accepted. An alien spaceship lands in Seabrook with A-Spen (Terry Hu), A-Lan (Matt Cornett) and A-Li (Kyra Tantao) looking for a map to their new home Utopia.

Like the first films, the aliens are initially ostracized but later find acceptance. It’s not inventive storytelling by any means. But the always charming Cornett and Hu’s openly queer A-Spen are welcome new characters.

Manheim and Donnelly’s characters shine as they reach graduation, though some questions of their “forever” remain unanswered.

Final say: A fine conclusion. ★★★★☆
