A top-tier student from a well-known though currently struggling family, Coriolanus Snow is chosen as a mentor for the 10^th Hunger Games. He makes a strong connection with his District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird, but the cunning Dr. Gaul throws him through loops before, during and after the games.

Collins brilliantly connects her earlier-published, later-set world with this novel. Fans of the series will be able to pick out many nods to the original trilogy.

Coriolanus is a brilliantly developed character with many red flags appearing despite an initial innocence and warmth. The brilliant third act will set your mind wild.
