With a lighthearted plot and a quartet of screen legends at the forefront, 80 for Brady is a wonderfully entertaining movie.

Huge fans of Tom Brady (playing himself) and the New England Patriots, four friends – Lou (Lily Tonkin), Trish (Jane Fonda), Maura (Rita Moreno) and Betty (Sally Field) – decide to go to the Super Bowl and have the weekend of their lives.

Though the action is played out just as corny as you’d imagine, there’s something about watching these icons that make it feel fresh. They’re having the time of their lives and while you expect great chemistry from Fonda and Tomlin, they mesh fantastically with Moreno and Field.

The film features many fun cameos and employs actual footage from Super Bowl LI that had fans on the edge of their seats.

Final say: It’s a touchdown. ★★★★☆
