In a stunningly animated short film, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse speaks deeply on issues of depression and loneliness.

A boy (Jude Coward Nicoll) who’s lost runs into a mole (Tom Hollander) and they begin the journey of finding his way home. Along the way, they meet a fox (Idris Elba) who keeps to himself and a horse (Gabriel Byrne) who proves there’s more than what meets the eye.

There are so many quotes in this story that will touch you deeply. Kids can watch it to learn that it’s okay to feel sad feelings and talk about it, while adults realize they can do the same.

While the animation is beautiful, there are slight imperfections that play along well with the plot. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.

Final say: Truly beautiful. ★★★★★
