With an incredible cast and fantastic direction, the somewhat hard to follow storyline of Logan Lucky can be forgiven because it’s great entertainment.
After being fired from a construction job underneath the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Jimmy Logan (Channing Tatum) decides to rob the racetrack. He employs the help of his siblings Clyde (Adam Driver) and Mellie (Riley Keough) along with safe-cracker Joe Bang (Daniel Craig) and his brothers (Jack Quaid & Brian Gleeson).
Sometimes the best heist films are the ones that the audience can’t even understand. And that’s exactly what this film does. There are so many pieces to the heist that you’re trying to keep up with, but you don’t mind because all the characters are intriguing to watch. They make you laugh despite the seriousness of the situation.
Final say: Logan Lucky gets lucky with crazy writing. ★★★☆☆
