On her ninth studio album, Carrie Underwood brings the shine and shows how perfected her vocals are on Denim & Rhinestones.

Though the songs on the album are very different from each other, they flow together well and allow her to show different strengths. One of the biggest highlights is “Poor Everybody Else,” which is the biggest arena rock song that she’s recorded though she’s showed the world she can in performances with Steven Tyler and Joan Jett.

Underwood has always had a religious core and she’s able to still tap into that but make it relatable to all listeners. “Crazy Angels” captures her mixture of God-loving and rebellious sides and will have you wanting to shout the lyrics when she’s on tour.

Final say: The album is a diamond and proves she’s getting even better with age. ★★★★★
