The Elephant Whisperers is a short documentary that shows the importance of love and community between humans and animals.

After the elephant Raghu’s mother died and he was turned away from his tribe, he was brought to the Theppakadu Elephant Camp in South India where he was raised by humans Bomman and Bellie. Spending time together, the three become a tight knit family that also bring in another baby elephant named Ammu.

The film shows Bomman and Bellie’s success in raising the two elephants – they’re the first to do so in South India. But at the heart of it, you see their love for the elephants that they treat as children and the love that sparks between each other.

You’ll fall in love with the elephants and see how they’re not so different from humans.
